First look

As I opened well packed box, the size of Aurora surprised me. I am used to use 210size quadcopters, so this is really small piece of multirotor for me. My first question was – ,,will it even fly?“

But as I raised it in my hands, the quality of the build impressed me. Very tought frame and powerfull-looking tiny motors, that is what answered positively to my previous question. The manual is helpfull – there is binding process, some basic configuration in betaflight, basic wiring diagrams and so on. Four spare 4blade propellers (+screws), charger for 2 & 3 cell batteries and the 2cell 450 mAh 80C battery with JST plug.
The camera can be tilted in a range of 10 to 55 degrees angle. It is easy to change the angle, By just 2 screws.

It was already darkness outside and -12°C, but Aurora made me to charge the battery right away and take it outside.

Configurations:

The only one issue that I found so far is that the part of the frame needs to be taken down to access the micro USB port. Once I connected Aurora to betaflight, I checked the version. Latest BF 3.1.0 – great! Flight modes are preset, but I changed it how Im used to have it. I havent changed the PIDs, its not needed. There is possibility to set the OSD via BF. What a nice feature. I have put the name, voltage and flight time to my screen in just a few seconds.

First flight

I was not expecting a power. I have a lot of brushed quadcopters of size 70-105, But nothing can compare with this brushless beast. Really, only 2cell batteries and it flies like a beast? I was able to do flips and rolls like with my normal sized racing quadcopters. Even with stock PIDs! The flight time on 450 mAh battery is just 3 minutes ( but it was -12°C).

Pros:
clean lightweight build
OSD configuration via BF
latest version of BF
lot of power

Cons:
short flight time (3mins)
USB port hiden behind frame

Conclusion:
If you cant decide whether to buy it or not, definitely buy it! it is great pocket-flier. Easy to take it with you and still able to do awesome acro.

These 550mAh batteries perform the same as the included one. They weight 4grams more, while adding like 20 secs of flight time
